    The Mariners' Museum, one of the largest and most comprehensive maritime history museums in the world, houses a treasure trove of more than 35,000 items inspired by human experiences with the sea. For over 70 years, The Mariners' has illustrated the spirit of seafaring adventure, assembling a renowned and strikingly diverse collection of maritime artifacts - figureheads, scrimshaw, hand-crafted ship models, decorative arts, prints, paintings and small craft from around the world.
  • Virginia Living Museum
    From red wolves to horseshoe crabs, this indoor/outdoor attraction is an unforgettable encounter for all ages. Observe animals native to Virginia swim, slither, roam and fly in natural habitats. See fresh and saltwater aquaria, indoor and outdoor aviaries and touch tank
  • Virginia War Museum
    American military history unfolds at the Virginia War Museum. Outstanding collections of personal artifacts, weapons, vehicles, uniforms, posters and much more, trace the development of the U.S. military from 1775 through the present.
  • The Cousteau Society
    Visitors will view world-renowned underwater photography in a changing gallery, models of the research vessels Calypso and Alcyone, and diving equipment from the past and present. Artifacts from famed explorer-environmentalist Jacques-Yves Cousteau's expeditions are displayed, such as a hovercraft in which guests can sit and have their photograph taken.
